The issue of data strategy has not yet arrived in Germany’s publishing houses -but time is pressing. Publishers need to catch up and review, collect, and consolidate their data. In practice, there is a need for action in four areas: data collection, aggregation of data, establishment of a technical setup and monetisation approaches.
